Greater Chimgan is the best-known summit of the Tashkent region, 3,309 m on the western edge of the Chatkal range. Climb from the Chimgan resort via Kumbel pass or from Beldersay along the west ridge; the top looks over Charvak reservoir and the whole Bostanlyk basin.
