Hazorasp is an ancient fortress 55 km southeast of Urgench, one of the oldest strongholds of Khorezm. Its high mud-brick walls still stand inside the town and can be walked for a view over the surroundings. A circuit takes half an hour to an hour; houses now stand inside the walls.
